He writes the Pip Books — gentle picture books for children going through divorce, big moves, and other hard changes — inspired by his son Charlie, who learned to read on them. His memoir, It's Not About Me: The Life of a Biker PI, tells the story behind the mission.

Chuck lives in Lockhart, Texas, where he works at his son’s elementary school.
